Our moisture-proof models maintain kibble freshness for up to 30 days in environments with up to 80% humidity. The system combines silicone seals with replaceable desiccant packs that change color when they need replacement (typically every 30-45 days). For extremely humid environments, we recommend replacing the desiccant monthly for optimal performance.
All food-contact components detach with our one-touch release system and are dishwasher-safe (top rack recommended). The stainless steel bowl, food hopper, and dispensing mechanism should be cleaned weekly. The base unit containing electronics should never be submerged—instead, wipe with a damp cloth. PAPIFEED dispensers accommodate most dry kibble between 2-15mm in size, including most prescription diets. The anti-jam mechanism handles irregularly shaped kibble, though extremely small or large pieces may require adjustment of portion settings. Your PAPIFEED feeder continues operating on its most recent schedule during WiFi outages. The internal memory stores all programmed feeding times and portions, ensuring your pet’s feeding routine remains uninterrupted. Once WiFi connectivity resumes, the feeder automatically reconnects and syncs any schedule changes made through the app during the disconnection period.
